Use Prime Numbers to Schedule Repeating Tasks

The periodic cicadas of North America live and reproduce in 13- or 17-year cycles synchronized to each other. They spend their long juvenile years underground but emerge on those 13- or 17-year cycles in a grand eruption of activity to become adults for a tiny span, to call to each other, to have their tiny insect dramas, to mate and then to die. The fact that 13 and 17 are prime numbers, numbers not divisible by any integers except 1 and themselves, is almost certainly of great importance to their lifecycle, whether by avoiding coevolution with predators or by the prime numbers evading hybridization with other life cycles.
In either case, the avoidance of overlap is the key, since composite period lengths would present opportunities for overlap in periods. A 12-year cadence would present opportunities for a predator with a 2-year-lifecycle to feast on cicadas, or a 3-year one, or a 4-year one. Or a 12-year cicada would be hybridizing with a 2-year or 3-year or 4-year cicada, making infertile offspring - all the same to evolution. Something about their lives needs a large least common multiple.
Another periodic domain where overlaps make things miserable is in task scheduling. A lot of the miserable nature of modern task-oriented work is having things come up periodically in waves, and having the sheer quantity of them pile up because of their periodic concurrence. That is, you do some work at a cadence of every 2 weeks, and once every 3 weeks, and once every 4 weeks, and once every 6, and all those cadences synchronize once every 12 weeks to make an almighty pile of tasks and your life miserable. You are the foolish cicada who emerges in 12 years in that case, getting eaten (or otherwise not getting to reproduce). You need a large least common multiple.
The solution for you, then, is clear, if you have the ability to set the cadences of your work. You have to learn to love work at a 3, 5, 7, 11, 13 (day, week, month) cadence, and learn to hate it at a 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 (day, week, month) cadence. See the charts for a demonstration. If you are mathematically more sophisticated, you will recognize that this argument really concerns pairwise coprimality, like the Chinese remainder theorem. So if you do not have 3-day tasks, then 9-day tasks are basically fine.
